Hi World, I'm Anna and I'm an artist at 2UP Games! I've been working on the "Styles" in our upcoming social drawing game. Each "Style" lets players create puzzles with a totally different look, making each player experience something brand new each time! So, how do I use my skills to help players create awesome-yet-distinct art?
There are endless possibilities with AI, and we didn't want to let any of it go to waste! Creating styles to use in our puzzles is not an easy task. We have to be extremely aware of running into any specific art style whilst still pulling the best out of AI; we still want to be unique!
What we found was specific types of camera lenses and lighting situations work really well with anything that could be found in real life; sculptures, photography, and even toys! When it came to art styles, that was more tricky. So far we have found that the Baroque period has excellent results for oil paintings!
Prompt words are key when creating styles. As much as we love how broad and wild the AI can go, we do have to rein it in at times. At the end of the day, we are using AI to enhance the player's ideals, not turn it into something it never was! Choosing to stick with mediums and specific prompts, along with negative prompts, are vital to get that perfect blend of AI enhance player created artwork!
